MOTHER’S DAY EVENT

One cannot simply deny how strong the bond between a mother and her child can be. Last May 7, 2017, Wonderful Moms was made possible by Century City Mall together with James Mackay Foundation Inc. and Philippine National School for the Blind to celebrate the mothers for being the superheroes we all need.

One of the fun activities during the event was when a number of 14 mothers stood in a line and waited for their kids to recognize them. Each kid walked down the line as they were blindfolded using only their senses of touch and smell. The exciting part of the event was the anticipation of the mothers to be recognized by their own child which shows how unbreakable the connection between a mother and her child can be.
Celebrity moms and wives of some PBA players also enjoyed and attended the event.

Lara Quigaman, Miss International 2005 and wife of Marco Alcaraz, was also present with her child, Noah. Alexis Urbiztondo, wife of PBA player Josh Urbiztondo and the owner of Hula Hands Philippines, also graced the event with her two children. Wife of PBA player Harvey Carey who is a writer, interior designer and a “mom-preneur,November Carey, also attended the event with her two children.

Mothers from Philippine National School for the Blind were also present to spend their time with their kids and other mothers on that special day. Leah Monte de Ramos graced the event with her child, Lerry, who is a grade 10 student of Philippine National School for the Blind.

Nina Camacho, mother of The Travelling Tots, talked about parenting during the event. She blogs about her travel and trips and wants to show the parents how travelling can be fun with their kids. ABS-CBN also featured the personal stories of the celebrity moms.

The mothers and their children experienced how the visually impaired kids felt their whole lives of not seeing their moms. These celebrity moms felt a whole new other level of being a mother and a superhero in one.
