“No Child Left Behind”

“Philippine National School for the Blind will never be left behind in the wilderness of nothingness,” said Assistant Secondary School Principal II, OIC of PNSB Mrs. Corazon B. Salvador during the 47th Foundation Day of Philippine National School for the Blind, James Mackay Foundation’s main beneficiary. This year’s foundation day celebrates the theme: “PNSB at 47: One family, one community, hand-in-hand for a happy, safe and healthy society.” The PNSB Glee Club and Dance Troupe showcased their talents as they commemorate their 47th foundation day together with the teaching and non-teaching staff of PNSB and James MacKay Foundation. “What we can promise is not only 47 years, but we promise that as long as we exist, as long as we are here, the foundation is here to help you and support you because we want to see you, the students, to be successful,” shared James MacKay Foundation Director Mark Lester Lico during the anniversary greeting. At the moment, PNSB has a total of 77 learners and a total of 29 enrollees in the ALS (Alternative Learning System) Program. PNSB believes that these enrollees has an option to continue their studies even if they have dropped out of school before. With this, PNSB’s campaign is very much aligned with the foundation’s cause, “no child left behind.”
